The sites below are a small collection of my favorite music stores, gear rental places and a few on-line sites that I find interesting.

Studio Rentals


Andy Brauer Studio Rents - If you don’t know Andy, you are missing out on an incredible resource and knowledge base. He’s not just a resource for every kind of amp and guitar you want to rent, but he’s also a great guitar player. Check him out on the Xotic website. Andy sold me my Fuchs amp.

Lon Cohen Studio Rentals - Here is another fantastic studio rental site from Lon Cohen.

My Favorite Guitar Stores


Indoor Storm - Eddie Berman at Indoor Storm is a wealth of knowledge on many boutique builders. Indoor Storm carries a select group of boutique guitars. Give Eddie a call to tell you more about it.

Rudy’s Music - The group at Rudy’s Music in New York City is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The store itself is beautiful as well. Don’t miss out on a visit the next time you are in NY.

6th String Music - A very nice site that carries some different gear that some of the others including Engl Amplifiers, Skrydstrup R&D Amplifiers, Traynor and EBS amps.

Gillans Guitars - Here is a UK based guitar store that specializes in boutique guitars and amps. Very nice site.

Synergy Guitars - A pretty good spectrum of guitars available here.

Boutique Guitar Exchange - A very nice website with great equipment and beautiful pictures.

Monster Guitars - This is a local shop near my house owned by Tom Krebs. Very cool guitars, lessons and repairs.

Make’nMusic - I like this site and it’s comprehensiveness. I have not been to the store but plan to visit very soon.

Boutique Tone - Boutique Tone is a very classy guitar shop located in Canada.

COOL AND INTERESTING SITES


Steelbender.com- Here is the personal site of Jason Barker. He is a talented guitar player and this site is not only a fantastic resource for all things guitar but he has an extensive review page. Check out his site and enjoy the pictures, videos and song samples.

Ultimate Guitar Gear - One of my favorite sites. These guys provide guitar gear reviews and feature exclusive articles by Ken Fischer. Check them out. This is a GREAT site for information.

Destroy All Guitars - This is Cliff Cultreri’s website. He represents some of the finest boutique guitar, amplifier and pedal manufactures today. Check out his site for some extraordinary instruments.

Kendrick Amplifiers - Gerald Weber is committed to the complete education on all things guitars and amps. This is a great site.

Favored Nations - Steve Vai’s Record Label. Check out who is signed under his label.

Just Jazz Guitar - This is a cool site that features many jazz guitars, shows and events.

ToneFrenzy - A cool site for sounds and pictures

Legendary Tones - I like this site for its reviews and commentary on guitars and amps

Boutique Guitar Exchange - A very interesting site with great pictures and profiles on some beauties!

Tone Pilot - Here is an impressive gear site. I like the way they list the equipment.

3.6 Diagrams - I don’t know why I like this site? Kinda useless but it has some interesting diagrams.

O’Neill’s Electronic Museum - This is a neat site to tour. Lots of historical information here on electronics.

Vintage Ibanez Guitar Site - Very cool little history here.

Drawing of a Woman from the Inside Out! - This is very very cool! Watch the whole thing!

Roccaforte Tube Amp FAQ - Here is some good information provided by Roccaforte amps.

Fender Discussion Page - A very useful and informational site on all things Fender.

Guitar Amp Evolution - A fantastic article written about the history of the guitar amp. Very interesting

History of Mesa Boogie - A well written article on the very interesting history of Mesa Boogie

Plexi Palace - A cool site with good information on vintage amplifiers

Amplifier Chassis Pics - A very cool site documenting pics of amplifier insides.

Early History of Rickenbacker - Here is the early history of Rickenbacker.

Modern History of Rickenbacker - This is pretty interesting.

The Guitar Hub - This is an on-line message board service for the “Guitar Connoisseur”.

Gear Wire - This is another on-line resource for all sorts of stuff.

The Gear Page - Another on-line gear discussion page for guitarists.

LEGO Replica Guitars - Kinda fun, a bunch of famous guitars made out of LEGO....check it out.

Mini Replica Guitars - Another fun site. Someone actually takes the time to build mini replica guitars.

Ed Roman’s Sexy Guitar Pics - Ed Roman is a crazy man in Vegas with a “Home Depot” style guitar shop. Here is his sexy guitar pic picture site.

Aria’s Guitar Pics - Very nice.

The LEGO Guitar - Really, its kinda cool. But...I don’t know how it sounds.

Babes & Guitars - Another site full of pretty girls and guitars.

E3 Booth Babes - This is a very very interesting trade show to attend. And the babes look good too!

Guitar Models - A wide selection of guitar models here.

Randy Ciak Guitars and Girls - Obviously he is really into to it.
