Most importantly, TRUST YOUR EARS! It is important that you experiment on your own, try out every piece of guitar gear you can get your hands on, talk to your friends and fellow musicians. As I have said in the past, you can throw a dart and hit good gear these days. The question is....will it inspire you! It’s really up to you. Finally, 50% of your tone (probably more) comes from your fingers! Equipment can only enhance and accentuate your playing. Finding the best equipment to match your fingers is the key!
